Ubud
Ubud is located in the mountains of Bali and is considered the island’s arts and cultural heartland.
Founded in the 8th century by a Javanese Hindu priest Rsi Marhandya, Ubud or Ubad (literally meaning medicine) is considered a place of ‘holy inspiration’. It has been an epicentre of creativity attracting famous artists such as Walter Spies, Rudolf Bonnet, Colin Macphee, Noel Coward and Antonio Blanco. Also renowned for healing, Ubud attracts people from across world who seek out Balinese traditional medicine, massages & yoga.

If you wish to learn more about Balinese culture our staff will be able to book you tickets to see traditional Balinese dance, or you can learn it for yourself! You can also join us class on making Balinese offerings or cooking Balinese Food.
